Dear John, I love your music and I'm happy I found your web site.  My boy-friend Gunter and his music comrades are always talking about you.  I downloaded Garden Grove, SPQR and some other tracks to playback for my friends at the uni.  The first 3 minutes for GG is heaven, but I'm not understanding all the words later.  SPQR is very cool - is that your voice talking about the mikrofon?

Love, Frieda - Heidelberg

Hello, John.  I bought the Skitzo and SPQR tracks from Napster.  I also downloaded Struggle for Love and the later version of SPQR from this site for free (yippie).  Thanks, great music.  I love the electronica effects.  I'll be back to download more of the free material here when I have some spare time. - Sally from LA

John, I love the site man!  You are an INCREDIBLY talented musician.  You’ll have to turn me on to “Notion,” I think it might be something I could use too.  Keep up the good work man. - Devin

John, I am Harden Kernodle, Anne Kernodle's brother, and we met in Winston-Salem when you were playing with Jeff. I thought your show was amazing. I just wanted to congratulate you again on what a great job you did. I came across your website and listened to almost all your downloads and they are awesome. Good luck in your music career.

Hi John. I didn't get to see your last show before you left Seattle, oh well. At least I made a copy of Delirium from one my friend bought from you. Love the new stuff on your website, especially SPQR Prequel (?). I takes off instantly and doesn't let go until the end, breathless. Best of Luck - Typhoid Mary

John, this is Mike (also known as Rory's brother). Just thought I'd write something on here beings that you have got to be the most talented guitar player I've seen at an open mic event. You are an amazing talent man, the "Mad Scientist" on guitar if you will. I hope that I will get to hear you perform again sometime soon. Good luck with your move to NC, and I'll be sure to keep track on anything new you've got going on. Always a pleasurable experience getting to hear you live.

Well done at the crossroads. You must've been there before...sellin' your soul and all that jazz. I've seen that overlapping done once before on public television, but nowhere near as impressive. Come on back again. -Nick Adams

Enjoyed your set at W&U last night. I kept hearing bits that reminded me of a band called Wishbone Ash from my collection of vinyls in the 70s. The quitarists layered lead guitar tracks on top of each other and played in an unusual mode. I would of liked to hear more to catch more variety in your style. I'll keep my eyes out for you again

John, You did a great job hosting the open mic at Wired & Unplugged Coffeehouse in Snohomish last night. I loved your opening set. You do amazing things with those effect pedals attached to your guitar. But the way the evening ended was an absolute blast. You did some jamming with Patrick on the mandolin. Then you added Jay on the drums. When you saw me in the audience quietly improvising on the harmonica with you guys, you invited me up. Then, the next thing you know several of the W&U regulars have all joined in and we didn't stop until Kathy turned off the lights at 11:30 PM! Thanks for letting me, and the rest of us, play along. It was one of those serendipidous magical moments that many of us with the music bug often hope for! I'm glad you'll be coming back to Snohomish for a full show in a couple of months! Volkert

Whats up, Just writing to let anyone (with interest) know of new music which I will be posting on my website over the next week. I have finished a string of live shows (over the past two weeks) and am now endeavored to record a slew of new music designed for another (demo) CD. One new piece (Peaks & Troughs - of 8:58 minutes) is already on my myspace site (www.myspace.com/johnwinters); more to follow in the coming week(s). Thanks to all who have supported me by listening and showing up for gigs...........I truly need the support at this stage of my career; your comments, attention, voice, ears, and time have all been profoundly helpful to me. I am sincerely thankful to you all...........thanks for checking out my new stuff and please feel free to let me know of your thoughts. Take care; I hope the music is enjoyable for you. John D. Winters

Jackass? I think not. You're probably just jealous. I saw John perform a couple weeks ago at the Wired&Unplugged, he was great. I bought his new CD there and took it home and played it over and over again. My current fav is Epic, it puts me in a kinda trance everytime I hear it. Alice from Seattle
